Hand-cut, hand-dyed, and hand-stitched in our workshop, the Ulfrik is a statement of craftsmanship first and a piece of dog armor second. Every rivet is seated by hand. Every stitch is pulled through twice. The result is a piece that earns its patina. One walk, one adventure, one photograph at a time.
Named for the Old Norse for wolf-ruler, the Ulfrik pairs rich colors and a lower course of overlapping leather scales, a quiet nod to the lamellar armor of the North. The hardware is solid, the silhouette is deliberate, and the fit is engineered to sit naturally across the shoulders without restricting the gait.
This isn't costume. This is a working piece, built to a standard we'd stake our name on.
Crafted For The Long Haul
- Full-grain vegetable-tanned leather — ages beautifully and only gets better with wear
- Hand-laid scale detail finished with edge burnishing for a clean line
- Solid cast buckles and rivets in polished nickel — no plated hardware, no shortcuts
- Double-stitched saddle seams using waxed bonded thread for decades of service
- Fully adjustable at the chest and girth for a confident, non-chafing fit
The Details
- Materials: Full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, dyed in-house / solid hardware / waxed bonded polyester thread
- Sizing: Available in XS / S / M / L / XL. See the size guide for neck, chest, and girth measurements
- Care: Wipe clean with a dry cloth; condition every 3–6 months with a neutral leather balm. Keep dry when possible, the leather is built to weather, but it rewards care
- Made to order: Each Ulfrik is cut and built after your order is placed. Please allow 4–5 weeks for production

Our harnesses are hand made from premium vegetable-tanned leather, one of the most durable materials in the world, used for centuries precisely because it holds up. Every seam is saddle-stitched, the oldest and strongest stitch in leatherwork. If one thread breaks, the other holds. Solid brass or silver hardware completes a piece that's made to be worn hard, aged well, and passed down.

Made from vegetable-tanned leather with solid hardware, hand saddle-stitched, and set with double cap rivets. Leather thickness varies by hide. Natural scars and grain marks are characteristic of genuine full-grain leather and are not considered defects.

Shipping
Domestic orders ship free. International orders are welcome. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. We are not responsible for customs fees, import duties, or delays caused by international carriers or customs processing. These vary by country and are the responsibility of the buyer.
Processing Time
Each harness is made to order by hand. Please allow 4-5 weeks for production before your order ships. Custom orders may require additional time. We'll communicate any delays directly.
Returns & Defects
We stand behind our work. If your harness arrives with a manufacturing defect, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we'll make it right- repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion. Returns are not accepted for normal wear, damage caused by misuse, improper fit due to incorrect measurements provided at ordering, or change of mind. Because every piece is made to order, we cannot accept returns for non-defective items.

We build to the measurements you provide. Please measure carefully before ordering. We include a sizing guide with every listing. We're happy to help if you're unsure.
- Lost or Damaged Shipments
If your order arrives damaged in transit, save all packaging and contact us immediately. We'll work with you to resolve it. We are not responsible for orders lost due to incorrect shipping addresses provided at checkout.
